Docs / Phase 2 backing
This is phase 2.
Stock tokens you can check against custody.
oddlot plans to issue its own stock tokens for listed small caps. A custodian will attest the share count on chain, and the contract will refuse to mint past it. None of this is live today.

What the design checks.
The mint controller stores the last attested share count, its timestamp and the attestor. A mint that would push supply past the attestation reverts. A redeem or a corporate action marks the attestation stale until the custodian signs a new one.

MultiplierHandled
A split marks the token stale until it is attested again.
Caveat
Phase 2 is not live. No oddlot stock token exists yet, and no audit of the contracts has been completed. Today each coin quotes in Robinhood's own stock tokens.
The mint reverts if supply would pass the shares the custodian attested.
The instrument
Small-cap shares, tokenized.
Shares Robinhood Chain does not list, held by an SPV and minted 1:1.
One token for one share held in custody.
An SPV would buy the shares through a broker and hold them with a custodian. The custodian signs the share count, the controller checks the signature on chain, and only the market maker can mint or redeem against it. You would buy and sell the token on its pool.

Why small caps.
Robinhood Chain lists 54 stock tokens today. Memes chase smaller tickers than that list covers, so phase 2 adds shares it misses.
GME, AMC, DJT, USAR, PLTR, HIMS.
A real custodian
An SPV holds the shares and a custodian signs the count.
A readable attestation
The share count, its date and the signer sit on chain for anyone to check.
One controller
One controller covers all tickers, with one attestor and one set of roles.

The rules behind the plan.
DesignThe mint cap
Token supply times the split multiplier must stay at or below the attested share count. The controller checks it on each mint, and a redeem or a split resets the attestation.
AnalysisWho can mint
Only the market maker role can mint and redeem, like an ETF's authorised participant. Retail trades the token on the pool.

Important information
TICKERx is a planned phase 2 product and does not exist today. oddlot has not deployed it, and no audit of any oddlot contract has been completed. Memecoins on oddlot are speculative and can lose all value. A coin quoted in a stock token also moves with that stock. Third parties issue the stock tokens used as quotes and can change how they work. oddlot is not available to US persons.
